BIO

Janet Connerney, a fiery folk-rock performer, has made
brilliant sparks with her audiences in the Boston area and
shines on the New England folk scene. Her songs are
heartfelt; the combination of her soulful and distinctive
voice and her melodic rhythms, create an impression that
stays with the listener long after the music has stopped.

Janet began performing during her teens at church
ceremonies, talent shows and coffeehouses in Hampton
Beach, New Hampshire where she spent most of her
summers.

Janet performs at clubs and coffeehouses throughout New England.  She has appeared at
Club Passim, The Cantab Lounge, All Asia, Naked City, The Nameless, to name a few. She
has shared the stage with some of Boston's best musicians including Colleen Sexton, Mary
Lou Lord, Nash Satterfield, Pamela Means, Dar Williams, Kevin So and Donna Martin. She
has performed live on both WERS and WMFO radio.

Janet is a self taught, accomplished guitar player with a unique style, (she is a lefty-South
Paw, who plays a righty guitar upside down). She is a natural comedian in addition to being
an instinctive music performer. Club Owners, popular musicians and writers alike, rave
